THE COLLECTION:
When collecting vintage german science fiction books, it is
impossible to miss books with covers designed by Eyke Volkmer.
One reason for this is Eyke Volkmers recognizeable airbrush
style.
Another reason is the quantity of book covers he has designed:
162 paperbacks in th series "Goldmanns Weltraum Taschenbücher",
another large number of the series "Zukunftsromane",
and he designed a few other science fiction publications,
too. Not to name the non-sf titles.
This website however concentrates onhis covers of the series
"Goldmanns Weltraum Taschenbücher".

DIE SAMMLUNG:
Wenn man in Deutschland Science Fiction Literatur sammelt,
dann stößt man unweigerlich auf Bücher mit
Umschlagbildern von Eyke Volkmer. Sein Stil ist unverwechselbar,
die Anzahl der Umschläge, die er gestaltet hat, geht
in die hunderte: 162 der "Goldmanns Weltraum Taschenbücher",
zahlreiche "Zukunftsromane" und weitere SF Titel
des Goldmann Verlages. Ganz zu schweigen von den nicht-SF
Titeln.
Diese Website widmet sich ganz seiner Umschläge der Reihe

THE
ONLINE EXHIBITION:
This website is the first online exhibition of the yet to be
founded german Museum of Science Fiction Literature "Houdini
Nation", which will open it's gates to the public in 2030.
The "mothersite"
is the online archive of said museum, compiling all science
fiction books I have actually read.
THE EXHIBITION CATALOG
I'm currently seeking funding to produce a printed exhibition
catalog, depicting all the covers presented in the main body
of this collection.

Dies ist die erste Ausstellung des zukünftigen deutschen

EXHIBITION IS FOR HIRE:
While I'm extremely happy to have managed this online exhibition,
I would love to exhibit the actual books in an appropriate way
somewhere in Germany.
I have developed a very flexible exhibition concept in which
this could be done at a quite reasonable price. The concept
allows for the exhibition to be placed in almost any space,
the only thing it needs is a power outlet.
Naturally, building the exhibition itself means an investment
I can not come up with at this point in time. So if you'd like
to host the first real exhibition or if you'd like to fund it,
we need to talk.

Ich freue mich, diese Online-Ausstellung realisiert zu haben,
